About the event
A traveling show between games of fantasy and a pinch of madness, in the setting of the splendid Indro Montanelli Gardens. «Imagine living in a condominium, only that this condominium is a tree and you are the animals that live there », fantastic Martina Pasquet, one of the actresses. In this show, the protagonists are the "tenants" of the Platano, the oldest tree in the first public park in Milan, who will meet to discuss just like in a typical condominium meeting. Noisy woodpeckers, dirty blackbirds and playful squirrels, but also bacteria, mosses and lichens, the inhabitants of the Platano truly have a thousand shapes and sizes.
«A dialogue path that will see us transformed into direct disseminators and narrators of a partly hidden world: that of the microhabitats of the old trees of the Park» says Antea Franceschin, one of the narrators of the show.
It will be a real journey into vertical biodiversity , with Marco Colombo's photographs to immerse us in the world of the Marco and micro-fauna of centuries-old trees.
The event aims to promote and disseminate a research project on the study of vertical biodiversity associated with trees and the interaction between each tree and the species it hosts, carried out by the University of Milan Bicocca and financed by the Maisons du Monde Foundation , with the collaboration of the students of the Master Fauna HD of the University of Insubria of Varese.
Before the show there will be an opportunity to find out more about the project: you will be able to walk in the park in a moment of dialogue together with the organizers of the event, made up of researchers from Bicocca University and expert tree climbers.
